Then, knowing that I had a lot of work to do in order to have miniatures ready for my upcoming Science Fantasy campaign, I\u00a0started up again by\u00a0practicing on\u00a0a Goblin and some Rats. All four miniatures were from the first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/1513061270\/reaper-miniatures-bones-an-evolution-of-gaming-min\">Reaper Bones Kickstarter<\/a> which I backed and which marked the beginning\u00a0of my miniature collection. I had done some more research on priming since my first attempt at painting and now realized that I didn&#8217;t need to prime Bones miniatures.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-23 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/kaihaku.net\/roleplaying\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/a-goblin-and-three-rats-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"A Goblin and three Rats\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kaihaku.net\/roleplaying\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/a-goblin-and-three-rats-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/kaihaku.net\/roleplaying\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/a-goblin-and-three-rats-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kaihaku.net\/roleplaying\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/a-goblin-and-three-rats-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/kaihaku.net\/roleplaying\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/a-goblin-and-three-rats-533x300.jpg 533w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Up close it&#8217;s easy to see that I definitely needed the practice but from playing\u00a0distance I was pretty satisfied with how this turned out. They also\u00a0further sold me on <a href=\"http:\/\/kaihaku.net\/roleplaying\/2016\/12\/05\/the-dip-method\/\">the DIP method<\/a> as they turned out\u00a0very durable.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After finishing my\u00a0mech\u00a0a\u00a0couple of months went by in which I did nothing.
