I decided to go with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reapermini.com\/OnlineStore\/77132\/latest\/77132\">Barnabus Frost<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reapermini.com\/Miniatures\/03292\/latest\/03292\">Almaran the Gold<\/a> from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/1513061270\/reaper-miniatures-bones-an-evolution-of-gaming-min\">original Bones Kickstarter<\/a>.\u00a0I can&#8217;t say that I was pleased with how either turned out. For both miniatures I was happy with\u00a0many of the details but something overarching felt off about the finished products. Something more than the lack of proper eyes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-95\" src=\"http:\/\/kaihaku.net\/roleplaying\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/painted-fronts-of-barnarbus-frost-and-almaran-the-gold-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"img_20161205_211904231\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kaihaku.net\/roleplaying\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/painted-fronts-of-barnarbus-frost-and-almaran-the-gold-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/kaihaku.net\/roleplaying\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/painted-fronts-of-barnarbus-frost-and-almaran-the-gold-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/kaihaku.net\/roleplaying\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/painted-fronts-of-barnarbus-frost-and-almaran-the-gold-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/kaihaku.net\/roleplaying\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/painted-fronts-of-barnarbus-frost-and-almaran-the-gold-533x300.jpg 533w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I liked the idea of a knight in red wielding blue flame but\u00a0I\u00a0would have been much happier if the armor had come out a shade or two darker. This was an instance where the <a href=\"http:\/\/kaihaku.net\/roleplaying\/2016\/12\/05\/the-dip-method\/\">DIP Method<\/a> failed to darken a model as much as I had wanted.
